A Little Behind the Scenes of My New Hand Modeling Reel

I had to make a post for new hand modeling reel!
You may have seen some of these projects on their own, but it's so nice to see them all together. I also watched my old hand modeling reels and let me just say...I've come so far!
For those who are new here: I'm a professional hand model based in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and I work across tech, lifestyle, food, and beauty spaces. It's a wild and wonderful little niche and I love every second of it. Okay, let's get into it.
The Cooking Shoots
Food content has become such a fun part of my work, and a couple of the projects in this reel really pushed me to level up my kitchen skills. One shoot in particular threw me in as the lead, which I did not see coming when I walked in that morning! I had to get comfortable cracking eggs gracefully and slicing vegetables on camera like a total pro. That experience inspired me to actually take knife skills classes afterward, because if cooking content is going to keep showing up in my career (and I hope it does), I want to be genuinely ready. That one job also led directly to booking another cooking tutorial shoot, which was just so cool.
The First Closeup
Every hand model remembers their first real closeup, and mine is in this reel. There was a whole conversation about manicure color, a cash reimbursement at the shoot, and a very memorable moment of realizing: okay, this is really happening. Whatever you do, don't mess up your nails.
On-Set Perks and Collaborating with Other Models
I absolutely love working with other hand models! It's so nice to hear their POV and see them in action. Everyone has a different style!
I would say my favorite on set perks involve the afternoon coffee orders on long days, the catering, and if I'm super lucky...Free product to take home at the end of the day.

Magic Tricks (The Napkin Fold and the Spinning Pizza)
The second section of the reel might look effortless, but I spent every spare moment on set folding napkins to get the tutorial just right. Worth it! I even ended up teaching the technique to my family over the holidays! It was a great pre-dinner activity.
But how did I spin a pizza with my index finger? A collaborative team, and a dream. Also, fishing wire.
Working with Animals
Yes, there is a dog in my reel, and yes, getting a dog to cooperate at exactly the right moment is absolutely a skill. Having a dog of my own definitely gave me a head start on that one.
Sometimes there are the cutest dogs just hanging out on set. And that is a genuine delight.
Newer Work
I recently wrapped some more work, so there is more content on the way. Stay tuned by following my Instagram or hand modeling portfolio page.
If you made it this far, thank you so much for watching and reading along. Will you give the video a like? I frequently send that link to clients, so any traction that it has certainly helps me book projects.
And if you're looking to book a hand model for your next tech, lifestyle, food, or beauty project in Los Angeles or San Francisco, I would love to connect. Reach out and let's make something great together!
